On Tuesday, 20-year-old Michael Archuleta was riding on Blue Banks Loop Road near Mount Misery Road when a vehicle hit him from behind, killing him. His body wasn’t found until hours later in a ditch.
After an investigation, detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office found a 2002 Toyota Sequoia inside a shed at Alejo’s home. The SUV had damage to the hood, right fender, right headlight assembly, and bumper.
Alejo is being held at the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $25,000 secured bond. More charges are coming.
